We work to restore, preserve, protect and maintain the beloved gardens in Arlington Center.

After a very long, cold, and snowy winter; spring is almost here! In the Town Gardens between the Town Hall and the Robbins Library there will be flowering shrubs and trees, vibrant shades of green grass, and new leaves awakening from the winter. To enhance this display, we welcome you to join our annual Spring Clean-Up of the Gardens:

This year we plan to continue planting groundcover along the water rill and the forest area on the hill. Also, we will clean out dead branches and other debris that have accumulated over the winter months. Some experienced gardeners can work with guides to do pruning. People of all ages who enjoy gardening are welcome to attend. We have some tools, but it’s always helpful if people can bring gardening gloves. It is also wise to bring a rake, trowel or other tool with the owner’s name or other identifying marker on anything brought to the clean-up.

We will have snacks and drinks. The event always fosters a spirit of fun and camaraderie as many hands come together to spruce up our beloved Town Gardens.

If you can help out with our Spring Clean-Up, please email FRTG2018@gmail.com to let us know your name, skill level, and email address, and to ask any questions. We look forward to seeing you in the Town Gardens on April 25!
