VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – FRIENDS OF THE ROBBINS TOWN GARDENS FALL CLEANUP, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2026

The days are getting cool, the hours of sunlight are diminishing, and the leaves are turning color as we head towards the end of the year. In the Town Gardens between the Town Hall and the Robbins Library there will be many leaves, branches and other debris that require cleanup before winter arrives.  To spruce up this area, the Friends of the Robbins Town Gardens (FRTG) welcomes you to join its annual Fall Cleanup of the Gardens:

Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 AM – 2 PM

(Rain date: Saturday, November 14, 2026)

This year we plan to continue with some weeding and clearing leaves and other debris from the reflecting pool area and other walkways.  Experienced gardeners may work with guides to perform selective pruning.  People of all ages and abilities who enjoy gardening are welcome to attend.  We have tools, but it is always helpful if folks can bring gardening gloves, and if you wish, a preferred cutting tool or other implement with your name/identifying marker on them.

We will have snacks, and there will be a great sense of camaraderie as we all work together to clean up our beloved Town Gardens.  We will also conduct tours of the area for those who would like to learn more about the ongoing restoration work in the Town Gardens.

If you can help out with our Fall Cleanup, please email FRTG2018@gmail.com to let us know your name, email address, and skill level, and to ask any questions.  We look forward to seeing you in the Town Gardens on November 7!
